Ever lost for inspiration, motivation, and simply looking for ways to better your life? I have just the fix! Here are a list of my favorite books and tips to using them to their full potential :)
I love books, I own so many I have to keep a special shelf for all of them.
Books are my treasures and I keep post it notes in all of them, so that when I need a reminder of a quote, picture, or recipe I can quickly find it.
1. Books that take you away!
This newly beloved story will take you on a journey to remember. With characters that embodies an authenticity, that I have only witnessed a couple times before. A true insight into the minds of characters who are neither good nor evil, but seeking a greater purpose. With mystery, dramatic battles, philosophical provoking layers, a hint of humor, and the emotional battle between loss and the ideas of nobility. Broken Blades Don't Sing, left me with a new perspective on honor and love, and with anticipation for the next novel in the Tales of Ashkar series.

2. Books of quotes!
Nothing puts life ino perspective more than reading about other peoples experiences and what advice they have to give. My favorites are"Humans Of New York" by Brandon Stanton and "Be Happy" by Patrick Lindsey
3. Books from your idols!
Who do you look up to? chances are they have a book and if your lucky in the book they can tell you all about how they made success in life whether it was financial success, health success, or personal relationship success. My favorites are "Pretty Happy" by Kate Hudson, "Celebrate" by Lauren Conrad, and "The Fully Raw Diet" by Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram.
4. How to books!
Books of things you wish to learn about are so helpful to me. I love how I can bring these books anywhere if I need supplies or on the go details. My favorites are "The Ultimate Wedding Planning Guide" by Elizabeth and Alex Lluch (since I am getting married soon this is the perfect book for me) and "Herbal Crafts" by Jessie Hawkins (from my grandmother, we share a love of all things natural)
5. Scrap Books and Note Books!
I know these are lost in my generation, but something about printing your photos and putting them in a scrapbook makes them so much more special. Also I have always kept a notebook, sometimes a nice bath or trip to the beach while writing my thoughts down is the best way I introspect. The pink scrapbook is from Indigo (where I keep photos of my fiance and I), the notebook is from Indigo (the scrapbook is of my lovely cat Tommy, which I made when I was ten) , and the Starfish picture book is from a boutique in New Smyrna Florida( where I keep all my beloved photos of my friends and family in Florida.) Yes, you will come to find I am extremely sentimental.
6. Pinterest Book!
So I started doing this far before Pinterest, but what I love to do it make power point collages, like a Pinterest board, and print them. I then place them in page covers in a binder and bring it with me whenever I need photo inspiration, I also like to keep a clipboard to take notes of ideas while I browse through my handheld Pinterest boards.
Finally find a place in your home where you can enjoy your books with some candles and a comfy chair! Taking time to enjoy yourself and read should always be a priority :)
