Make your Valentine feel warm and loved!

First a love note jar!

You will need:

1 Mason Jar
Burlap
Scissors
Lace( or ribbon)
Paper( I chose this one with a rose on it)
Decorating options(such as stickers, twine, and a doily)
Glue(not necessary but makes the process easier)

Step 1: Measure and cut burlap to jar size

Step 2: Tie with lace

Step 3: Add Decorations!

Step 4: Cut the paper into little note size papers, by folding the paper then cutting for more precision

Step 5: Write you Valentines love little love notes

Step 6: Roll the notes up and tie with twine

Step 7: Fill jar and watch their face light up at each individual note!

Everyone in grade school years loved receiving many little Valentines and I thought why not  replicate that feeling for your loved ones :)

Second project, a burlap banner!

You will need:
Red Glitter glue
Burlap
Ribbon
Festive clothing pins
Scissors

Step 1: Measure out 10 squares on the burlap and cut

Step 2: Write out Valentine`s with the glitter glue on your burlap pieces and let dry

Step 3: Pin the letters to the ribbon and hang

I thought this was such a more personal and sweet option to a dollar store banner

Third, a Cookie Heart to keep your love warm <3

You will need:
Epson salt
Sew thread and needle
Lavender buds
Two fabric pieces( I used red and beige for the look of a iced cookie)
Scissors

Step 1: Cut heart shape on both fabric pieces
(for better precision fold them in half and cut half a heart, so that both sides are even)

Step 2: Sew the pieces 3/4 of the way together
( this part took me less than 10 minutes so do not fear the needle and thread)

Step 3: Take the 3/4 sewn fabrics and fold inside out, then pour your Epson salt and lavender mix in
(I poured the mix in a jar for easier pouring and for the two fillings to be mixed well)

Step 4: Sew the pillow shut

Step 5: Put in microwave for 2 minutes and enjoy cuddling your warm sweet cookie pillow or of course gift to a loved one to keep them warm
The Epson salt retains the heat and the lavender buds smell so nice when they are heated up

Happy Valentine`s Day Everyone! <3 Enjoy!

A Romantic Touch
A budget friendly way to make your space feel welcoming

Oh yes its snowing outside, it`s like a Tuscan spring day in here
I have four simple dollor store and thrift shop DIY`s to add some elegance to your home

First a floral display!

I found the white roses, sewing pins, and foam ball at "Dollarama"
The vase is a thrift store find

Step one: Pop off the flowers and leaves from the plastic stem

Step two: Place the foam ball into the vase

Step three: Place the sewing pins inside the hole of the flowers where the plastic stems used to be

Step four: Pin the flowers in, extra tip, place the flower pins at a angle to ensure they stick in place, you may also want to use a hot glue gun, but for me they stayed on well without glue

Step five: Photograph your cat having way too much fun playing with the white roses

 Just kidding
Step five: Pin the greenery between to roses to cover bald spots

Finally enjoy your spring time floral display in -22 Celsius weather :)

One dollar Valentine`s day cards can serve as personalized art
The one on the right is my favorite phrase so I had to get it!
and the love in Paris one on the left is precious

Step one: Thrift store frames

Step two: Spray paint them gold of course!

Step three: Place the cards inside the frames and hang up to enjoy the trendy and chic art

Lets upgrade a mason jar!

Step one: Wrap in burlap

Step two: Wrap with lace and glue on a fake flower

Step three: Tie the top rim with twine to secure

Finally and the most simple DIY
Upgrade your bathroom to a hotel like retreat for under $5

Two glass jars and a olive oil dispenser becomes...

A cotton swab, mouthwash, and cotton pad containers meant for someone as elegant as you

See you next time! Enjoy :)
